Camp site
 

Consisting of 3 sites each with its own water tap and able to accommodate up to 50 campers, they may be booked equipped or unequipped. 

There is a solid shelter on each site housing:

  • cooking equipment
  • camp tables and benches
  • brooms and shovels
  • a working surface for food preparation
They have ample room to be used as a wet weather shelter or craft centre.
 
Camp Store

The Camp Store is a new building situated close to the Lodge and Bunk House.   

Enough equipment is stored here for use by the 3 camp sites i.e. tents, pegs, and cooking equipment. Each site is allocated a fridge and there is one freezer for all to share. There is also an oven and hob for use by those camping.

 
Washing
Oasis
  • There are 4 toilets including 1 for those with special needs
  • 6 cubicles with hot and cold water
  • a hand drier and 2 shower rooms.
Water Hole
  • 4 toilets
  • 2 hand basins, with cold water only
   
The Green Door on the Bungalow, houses a Leaders or Gents toilet and hand basin with cold water only. This facility can be used as an isolated Male wash room.
 
Bunk House

Both, those on pack holiday and those camping can hire the bunk house. It consists of a bunk bed, shower and toilet. There is room for a third person using a camp bed if required.

 
General camp site notices
 
Fires
There are several concrete fireplaces on each site. Bricks can be found at each fireplace (please leave stacked by fireplace when finished). Crates, metal sheets and grids are available in the old wash houses in the copse, please return after use. Please avoid making fires directly on the fireplaces as this damages the concrete and brick.
 
Firewood
There is usually wood to collect in the Spinney and adjacent bridle path, although it is advisable to bring some with you. Only collect wood found on the ground as the Woodlands are proctected.
 
Please do not light fires in the woods.
 
The Camp Fire Circle is available for all campers.

Fees

Camping only: £6.00 per head per 24 hours.

Deposits

Day: £5:00
Weekend: £15:00
Week: £30:00

All deposits are non refundable.

Payment is by cash or cheque only.

For educational establishments bookings please contact the booking secretary for charges.

 
Arrival/Departures

At the weekend please arrange to arrive on Fridays after 4pm and leave on Sundays by 6pm. Any alternative times should be arranged through the Site Manager or Booking Secretary

A Committee Member will see you on and off the site.

If you have booked a supermarket delivery please advise us of the DELIVERY time.

 
Keys
On arrival you will be handed the keys to Camp Store – these must be returned to the Committee Member before you leave. Please lock the main gates at night.
 
Activity
Available for your use is a supply of games equipment, balls, ropes, hoops etc as well as basketball, rounders and volleyball.

The ‘Hideaway’ found just in side the woods is a nature activity centre and provides a variety of books and equipment.
 
Electricity
This is currently included within the fees
 
Insurance
Cherry Green Trees Joint Committee can not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal property.
 
Parking
Parking in car park only unless permission has been given to park on the field.
