Cherry Green Trees

We are excited to announce Cherry Green Trees will be reopening in accordance with Governement guidelines on 12th April 2021 (subject to review on 5th April 2021).

We are currently taking bookings for guiding groups up to 15 guides plus leaders from 12th April 2021 onwards for Saturday, Sunday and evening outdoor visits. Visitors will have use of the fields, woods and toilets only and will need to bring their own refreshments.

Our campsite will remain closed until 16th May 2021 inclusive. Please check back for openings for permitted group activity days.

Thank you again for your patience in these exceptional circumstances.

Welcome to Cherry Green Trees

Cherry Green Trees is a PRIVATE camp site belonging to Finchley and Friern Barnet and Southgate Division Guides. The site is located near Colney Heath in Hertfordshire and has 9 acres of land, split between 4 acres of meadowland and 5 acres of woodland. The site was donated to North Middlesex Division by Herminie Eckstein in March 1934 when it became known as Cherry Green Trees.

Cherry has a beautiful bluebell wood and each year when the bluebells are out we invite the general public and friends to come along and have a stroll through the wood, find out a little more about the site as well as have a cup of tea/coffee and cake.

Cherry Green Trees is managed by a group of volunteers who run Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and the Rangers groups. We provide a unique girl-only environment where you can be comfortable just being yourself, whilst exploring the activities, issues and possibilities that are available to girls today.

We welcome members and supporters from all inclusive organisations from within the Community.
